Alpine Photographic Workshop
An alpine photographic workshop, covering acres of wild flowers with the French Alps as a backdrop. Discover wild orchids, meadows of fresh alpine flowers or the vivid colours of fallen autumn leaves. Taste wild strawberries as we walk through some of the loveliest scenery imaginable. Picture Mont Blanc with the glowing pink hue of the setting sun.
International lecturer and local resident of Les Gets, France, Lucilla Phelps, takes small groups of photographers and horticulturists on a long weekend break. Former principal photographer of Sotheby's Auctioneers, Lucilla specialises in images of small objects and now brings her expertise to the enhancement and capture of wild flowers. Amble through alpine terrain where even locals seldom visit. The workshop will cover image enhancement and manipulation with the use of Photoshop.
The course on photographing wild flowers with Lucilla Phelps FRPS was a great opportunity to pick up some hints and tips from a Society Fellow, while walking up mountains and in alpine meadows, with all the fresh air and healthy exercise that implies. Summer in the Alps is spectacular, with its mountain meadows filled with wild flowers, butterflies, and cows. The weather is mild and warm, with brilliant blue skies and clear starry nights - David Land - Royal Photographic Society Journal
